Our History

Meet BJ, a lifelong Brooksville resident who's carrying on his family's tradition of butchery. BJ's grandfather started the family business in the 1940s, and his father joined him when he was just 12 years old. BJ himself started working at the shop at the same age, and he's been honing his skills ever since. In 1972, the family moved the shop to the Jennings building in the heart of downtown Brooksville. Today, the shop is located off of truck route 50, with BJ as the proud owner of Hart's Meat Market— and he's committed to providing his customers with the finest meats and the warmest smiles in town.
